Let's revise the greetings.

I bump into you in the street and say Kia ora! What does this greeting mean?  

  Means you (singular)

  Translates to you, two people and can only be used when greeting two people.

  Translates to you, three or more people, and can only be used when greeting 3 or more people.

Koro Bobby greets Nanny Lillian. How would he greet her?  

Rangi comes along and runs into Koro Bobby and Nanny Lillian. How would Rangi greet them?  

  Means literally - good health to you!

You run in to your best mate and want to say hi. What greeting do you use?  

You run into your mum and dad at the marae. How do you greet them?  

You have to stand and address a gathering of 12 workmates at a farewell of your boss. How do you greet them?
